A big part of homemaking is keeping tabs on your belongings. Being able to put your hands on needed items in a short amount of time is key to being efficient and not wasting your precious time.
Even though it is true many of us have more belongings than we need many times we have items we need to use every day and then items we only need access to occasionally. The key to being organized is putting away those things we only use occasionally and having nearby at hand the items we need on a daily basis or so. Instead of looking at your home as a whole break it down into rooms or sections and deal with it that way.
