Not wanting to toot my own horn but since I do love to cook and have a treasure trove or cookbooks I know a good recipe when I land on one. So here's my story...true story in case you were wondering...
I had some pork tenderloin (not loin) in the freezer which my husband thawed to cook. He was going to dump them in the crockpot and call it a day. I, luckily, caught this travesty about to happen and stopped him. Even though I hadn't the foggiest idea of how to cook it I told him I would take care of it.
So I knew I wanted to make this meat taste wonderful but how? As well as I think I cook I couldn't wrack my brain to come up with an idea for this. Digging through my many recipe books I failed to land on one that sounded 'right'. You know what I mean? I think you always know when you find what you're looking for when it comes to recipes. No other way to explain it. Anyway then I landed on Donna's recipe site on a brining tenderloin page. That sounded good, I brine our Thanksgiving turkey every year and no-one would have it any other way. My sister says she waits all year for our brined Thanksgiving turkey. But searcher that I am I veered off searching other sites for more information. Nothing else gave me the simple straightforward tips for brining this meat that Donna's did so I went back.
9 hours later, this after a delicious dinner, I am hooked. The tenderloin was juicy and tender (pork can easily dry out and be tasteless). Incidentally I also used a gravy recipe and a salad dressing recipe from Real Restaurant Recipes. I attest that this ebook is worth it. Donna knows what she's talking about!
