School DeskIt's August! Still technically summer but it's time to start preparing for back to school. The sun is still hot but there is plenty of shopping, organizing and preparing for back to school.

And whether you homeschool or send your child to public or a private school a good breakfast is so important to starting off the day right. Children and adults both need a good breakfast to get the brain juices going. Start now preparing healthy breakfasts so you'll be in full swing come school time.

And let’s not forget lunch. Provide your youngun’s with a nutritious lunch to feed their bodies mid-day. It doesn’t have to be gourmet. Sandwiches, wraps, some fruit or a fruit cup. Change it up. Maybe some cheese, crackers, and fruit instead of a sandwich. Turn leftover chicken into chicken salad for a tasty sandwich treat. Then your darlin' comes home and wants something to munch on healthy and nutritious after school snacks keep your child fed well and satisfied until dinner.

Declutter an area 101
  1. Group like items together.
  2. Toss, Store and Keep
  3. Keep it organized. Use organizing tools such as boxes and baskets.
How do I remove odors quickly?
  1. Open windows to circulate air.
  2. Burn a candle. The flame is what will rid your room of odors.
  3. Simmer vanilla extract in a little water on the stove.
Cleaning Soap Scum
Soap scum is a mixture of hard water, body oils, and your soap products. Use an acidic product to clean it. For natural cleaning use a baking soda white vinegar mix. Scrub it on and let it site a while. Rinse it off.
Saving money on groceries.
  • 1. Don't go shopping while hungry.
