This so cute video starts out with the kids in school going to have lunch out on the playground after a morning of learning about jobs they could do when they grow up. Each character tells what they would like to be when they grow up so we go through the town.

Cute songs and characters abound as you get to travel through the town. The lesson of learning about the different jobs people can do will hit home with an older (read 5-7) child but the video is no less entertaining for the younger members of your family.

My young daughter who just turned 3 as of the writing of this feels bonded the most with the travel agent and jumps up to run to our family computer (with her programs on it) so she can type up a travel agenda too.

I highly recommend Richard Scarry's Best Busy People Video Ever for a nice short respite for you busy moms without worrying about what your children are watching. Your children will be entertained without any underlying message and since there isn’t a ton of Richard Scarry memorabilia to buy you can have no fear of having to hear screams of “I WANT THE SERGEANT MURPHY DOLL!!!” in the store.
