New Dial Sugar Cane Husk Scrub {Review and Giveaway}

Sugar Cane Husk Scrub Deep CleansingHand

I love soap. The smells, the clean. It’s a hobby of mine to collect soap in all it’s forms. So yeah I was only too happy to review NEW Dial Sugar Cane Husk Scrub Deep Cleansing and Moisturizing Hand Soap.

Dial’s new Sugar Cane Husk Scrub Deep Cleansing and Moisturizing Hand Soap is part of the Boutique Collection Hand Soap. The scent is inspired by Sugar Can and there are tiny micro scrubbers to gently and deeply clean.

The liquid soap comes in a skinny clear bottle with a golden label on the front. You can see the golden colored soap with little sugar crystal floating in it.

Have you ever had sugar cane? It’s fun to gnaw on (but not so good for the teeth) a freshly cut hunk of sugar cane and get all that sweetness in your mouth. Now you can use it to give your hands a gentle scrubbing clean.

The Dial Sugar Cane Husk Scrub Deep Cleansing and Moisturizing Hand Soap uses a moisturizing formula with added micro-scrubbers to scrub (gently) your hands clean.

To get a feel for this new soap (because I lovvvveeeee soap) I put the NEW Dial soap bottle in my guest bathroom so my latest dinner guests could be the first to try my new soap.

Imagine my distress when right off the bat my hand pump didn’t work! This really bummed out my guests who were ready to sample the new scent but alas I put it to the side until I could check out the situation later that night.

So my guests missed out on the first experience with my new soap but I got the pump fixed mid week and my family has been using it for about a week. I have more guests coming tomorrow so they’ll get a chance to check it out then.

My thoughts? Well the Dial Sugar Cane Husk Scrub Deep Cleansing and Moisturizing Hand Soap is a translucent pale golden color with little orange beedlets (that’s what I’m calling them) in it. I found one of the beedlets in my sink that’s how I know they’re orange. Otherwise they blend in with the liquid soap and look more brown. I imagine those are the scrubbers. There are not a whole lot in there but a nice amount dispersed throughout. That’s good especially if you have children. Too many scrubbers could be to rough.

The feel of the soap is that of other liquid hand soaps (see image). It’s think and all you need is one squirt. It wasn’t overly sudsy which may be to the moisturizing qualities.

Now about the scent. The scent, the scent, the scent (tapping finger to chin). I’m not sure how to describe the scent of the Sugar Cane version. The scent was not one I would associate with sugar cane but then it’s been over 20 years. The version of Sugar Cane was a scent I associate with products that have a vanilla scent that has missed the mark. I have some vanilla perfume that smells similar. It’s not a bad scent. It’s sweet and slightly perfumy. While I love perfume as much as soap this is not normally the type of scent I gravitate towards. BUT! There are other scents in the collection that I aim to find out more about such as Water Blossoms and Coconut Lime Verbena.

  1. I’m not entering your giveaway since I’m on this review too, but I wanted to comment anyway :). Nicely written review. I like how you described everything, including the feel of the beads and the scent. And I see you’re trying Giveaway Tools this time. You’ll have to let me know how you like it compared to the other raffle service.
