Yesterday I wrote about how someone recently referred to me as a Titus 2 Woman. The older women described in the Bible as being a mentor to younger women in Biblical womanhood.
If you read blogs by other women who refer to the Titus 2 woman a lot you may have wondered who she is and what she is about.
Is she a piece of fiction? Or a real character from Bible times?
The writer of the book of Titus in the Bible was the Apostle Paul. Christians are very familiar with Paul as a teacher of Biblical life. Paul had formerly persecuted Christians and even killed them. After his conversion, he went through a lot and wrote to many churches and Christians on the life of a Christian.
The book of Titus his Paul writing to his brother in the faith Titus on what to look for in Christian leaders in the church.
Passages 3 through 5 are the description of what the older in the women in the church should attain to. Mentoring older women to train the younger women in Biblical living.
Women need women. We need each other to pass on the tips of how to make it through and get by. No matter what the world says women are unique and different and so are our needs.
Do you know any women that would fit the description of a Titus 2 Woman? Women you look to for Godly advice and tips? Are you yourself a Titus 2 Woman?
Tomorrow we will start walking through each of the attributes….
I plan to dwell on this some more during this month.
