Happy Monday! Can you believe it’s March!!!! Time flies much too fast. Treasure every moment.
I treasured some time with my daughter in the kitchen last week. As you know I have a giveaway going on for the Mystie’s new eBook Simplified Dinners for New Cooks. We’ve also been using the book in my home.
I decided Fish in Foil would be a nice easy dish to start with for my daughter. This dish brings back many memories as my mother used to make us “surprise dinners” when we were little. I thought she might like recreating that memory with me.
My daughter is no stranger to the kitchen but every cooking moment is a lesson. We reviewed the steps and organized our tools and food items. I let her at the big knife with some supervision since I’ve been taking this free class over at Craftsy.
It went very well, thank you for asking :). My daughter had a lovely time and has been helping out a little more all around the kitchen. The more she helps the more I let her do some cooking.
We also made a Costco run this weekend. Our shopping list was a little smaller than usual since we’ve been shopping at Costco once a month but it’s really working out for us.
This is what I have on the menu for this week.
Monday – Pork , Hubby is cooking this dish so this is all I know.
Tuesday – Sloppy Joes
Wednesday – Chicken Tenders with avocado sauce
Thursday – Split Pea Soup
Friday – Quesadillas
