The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers,not given to much wine, teachers of good things;
That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,
To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.
~Titus 2: 3-5

Welcome back to Discovering the Titus 2 woman.

We are talking about the Titus 2 woman this month as part of Write 31 Days Blogging Challenge. Each day I’ll talk a little bit about what I believe the Titus 2 woman to be.

Obviously I’ve skipped “not given to much wine” because I believe that self explanatory. If you’re not sure what that means just leave me a comment.

teachers of good things

Oooh I like this. Teacher of good things. What is a good thing? Such a nice broad phrase. It can mean most anything and it probably does.

A Titus 2 Woman has experience, empathy, and that age old knowledge. She can offer more than tips to the younger woman. She can give hands on advice, a shoulder to cry on, and a listening ear. She can teach anything from how to cook a meal to how to find a quite spot to refresh a busy young mom.

Make a list of the things you can share with the younger women in your church and life who may be struggling. And if they’re not struggling? Point out how they too can be a Titus 2 woman and share their tips for staying unfrazzled.
