the Homemaking Conference and My Homemaking Mentor, Which one is for you?
What is the difference between The Homemaking Ministries Online Conferences and My Homemaking Mentor?
I've been talking a lot about 2 great Homemaking Resources lately. They are both put out by the same ministry, Homemaking Ministries, but I thought there might be some confusion in what each one offered.
First of all these are both resources for the Christian homemaker. That's what I love about them both.
Having a membership to both of these great online Homemaking Resources I thought it would be a good idea to point out what are the differences between the two. This might help you to figure out which product would be the right fit for you.
The 2016 Homemaking Ministries Online Conference
First of all even though the 2016 Homemaking Ministries Online Conference has ended the content does not expire and can bless you at any time of the year. The only thing you will miss is the live contact with the conference presenters that happened in Facebook groups during the run of the conference.
Okay first of all I'll talk about the 2016 Homemaking Ministries Online Conference which is going on right now.
This conference is kind of like one you would attend in person in that the focus is to come away with motivation and ideas on the topics being featured.
The focus this year is Finding Balance. This is an important topic for women because we are under pressure from various avenues to be able to do it all. So various Christian women from around the blogosphere have come together to offer their insight into how they fit certain categories into their probably already busy lives.
The sessions run about half an hour to an hour and some speakers have offered appropriate links and downloads to help you further.
Not all topics may be applicable to you but as a homemaker you may find yourself gleaning from them all. Some topics such as Creating Balance for the Working Homemaker or Balancing Homeschooling and Homemaking you may find you don't have a need for but the majority of the sessions are of good worth for the Christian Homemaker.
If you purchase a Premium Registration for you can have access to 3 Bonus products to encourage and inspire you.
About My Homemaking Mentor
For me, I found that My Homemaking Mentor is the better fit for my life.
It is priced a little higher and like the 2016 Homemaking Conference your membership does not expire so you have Lifetime access to your videos and downloads.
My Homemaking Mentor is practical lessons on the art of Homemaking. There are over 50 videos on topics such as Routines for Your Home, Meal Planning, the basics on Using Essential Oils (or a Healthy Home), Hospitality, and more.
Now while I feel I am well versed in all these areas I tend to be motivated by courses such as these. Just a reminder of what I'm doing and why and also a glimpse into someone else's day can sometimes give me a spark for new ideas.
These sessions are more practical with your mentor giving examples and walking you through steps for whichever lesson is going on. For example Jamie walks you through, step by step, for creating a weekly menu plan. She also provides cute printable that you can then put right into your Homemaking Binder. Leigh Ann Dutton provides a printable workbook for her lessons on Living Intentionally (which I have come to realize means organizing your day so you're not scattered).
Each of these sessions has several lessons that you mark as complete as you move through them ( you can still back up and review. Remember these are you lessons for life.)
As a Christian Homemaking Woman (you don't have to be a mother) I am sure you will find encouragement and motivation from each of these products.
I hope my little comparison helps you to figure out which one is for you.
