I’ve owned a few cordless stick vacuums in my life. To clean up quick yes messes and also clean up after our various pets through the years. In an effort to simply my cleaning tools I had been thinking of getting a cordless stick vacuum that could also unction as a hand vacuum. Then TOPPIN generously sent us their Powerful Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner to test out on our long haired cat family home and review for you!

Vacuuming needs in our home

We have a lovely male long haired ginger kitty named Sherbert in our home. He was my daughter’s 12th birthday present and he brings joy, laughter, and lots of fur to our home each day.

Since this is not my first rodeo with a cat there are some things I set into place to keep the home as clean as I like it.

One of those was having a good vacuum with a dust cup so I could dump each day. The problem is that our corded vacuum is a little heavy and that doesn’t entice me to take it out for a cleaning run each morning.

With such a furry kitty I really should be vacuuming our home’s high traffic areas daily. And I wasn’t.

Needless to say I was pretty happy to try TOPPIN Powerful Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner to see if would make my vacuuming life easier.

Unpacking the TOPPIN Cordless Stick Vacuum

The TOPPIN Powerful Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner comes packaged in a cardboard box with each component carefully packaged. You can see my box below. (I’m debating with myself about saving the box to use with some crafts projects in mind.)

Once I unpacked all the accoutrement for the TOPPIN Vacuum my husband mounted the wall organizer and we set it to charge. It comes almost fully charged but we plugged it in for a full charge before we used it.

When charging and using there are three blue lights on the back of the vacuum that light up to let you know how much power is left.

Using THE TOPPIN CORDLESS STICK VACUUM

The first job I wanted to take with the TOPPIN vacuum was our living room. I hard recently received a fair amount of deliveries for a project I was working on and there were a lot of those tiny foam pieces that break off the bigger foam piece you get with packaged fragile items flying all over the living room.

I used the TOPPIN Vacuum with the floor attachment for this job. It made quick work of the mess and sucked up the foam with no issues.

I did take note that Sherbert (our cat) didn’t take kindly to the new vacuum machine. He took off to hide from the offending noise maker.

Speaking of noise the TOPPIN Vacuum was quieter than my previous hand vacuum. Just note that. It still makes noise but a little less of it.

After I finished up the living room I still had plenty of charge left so I headed to our bedroom to clean up the floor. We have all carpet upstairs (except the bathrooms and laundry room) and one of Sherbert’s snatching pads is in our bedroom. He’s torn it down pretty well and likes to scatter the little bits of cardboard all over our room.

Finally I used it in the bathroom where Sherbert’s litter box is kept. Some may say I’ve gone overboard to contain his litter box (I got one of those two decker pieces of furniture) but it does keep the stray litter contained quite a bit. We still get the odd piece of tracked litter here and there so being able to do one run through from carpet to hard bathroom floor without changing attachments is sooo nice!

I’ve had my TOPPIN over a week now and I use it daily in high traffic areas and also to picks up small messes.

How often Should I Vacuum?

When you have pets ideally you will want to vacuum daily. That’s why a cordless lightweight vacuum makes so much sense.

If your vacuum is too heavy and cumbersome you may find yourself only pulling it out for special occasions.

My Thoughts on Toppin

The TOPPIN Vacuum is lightweight in size and the convenient attachments make it easy to use. I pick it up on my way past the laundry room in the morning. And the charge lasts long enough for me to do a quick vacuum around the house

Initially I was concerned that the TOPPIN Vacuum wasn’t going to be able to pick up the fair colored fur of our furry friend but while it is not as powerful as our plug in vacuum it does pick up fur and plenty of dust I didn’t even know was there. I’ve even sucked up a fly with it! Granted it did not pass on it’s way too the catch all receptacle and so I had to set it free outside.

One thing to note about the TOPPIN Vacuum is that once you have used the vacuum and have debris in the cup you need to go empty it. No hanging on the wall with dirt in the bin because it will fall back out the mouth of the vacuum. I do wish there was some kind of flap to keep items from falling back out once you’ve vacuumed them. I have had a few mishaps where I forgot about that technicality and dumped all the dirt right at my feet! This has happened both with using it as a hand vacuum and also with the floor head attached.

If you’ve read back into the deep archives of Homemaking Organized you’ll know that a vacuum like this is also very nice to have when unexpected guests come to call.

My goal now is to get our cat to let me vacuum him. It would make my life easier if I could vacuum him after his brushing. Get all those stray hairs.

I haven’t used every attachment that came with the TOPPIC Vacuum yet but never fear it will happen soon.
