Tips from the Group : 5 Days of Tips for Homeschool Parents
It’s the final day of 5 Days of Tips for Homeschooling Parents. Where the homeschoolers of the Schoolhouse Review Crew have banded together to offer up tips, ideas, and advice to help you based on our own numerous homeschooling experiences.
On this final day of 5 Days of Tips for Homeschool Parents I thought it would be a good idea to coral tips from the group as I like to call them.
These are members of my family who in one way or another contributed (or continue to contribute) to the way our homeschool looks today.
The Dad: “Don’t give up. Even when it looks hard just hang in there. Make changes if you need to, to make it work. Understand that there will be trying times but tough it out.” (Okay so he rarely does the homeschooling but he did offer this tip so we’ll take it.)
The Grandmother: “It’s not for the faint of heart. It takes patience.” (she says this after thanking God her grandchildren are homeschooled).
The Cousin: “I wish I had been homeschooled. I’m homeschooling my children.”(she had a tough adolescence and mentioned this at the time. She’s now in her 30’s.)
The Sister: “If the curriculum isn’t working change it. Don’t hesitate.” (she wait to make the change after 9 years. It was the best change ever but it took a while to come to fruition.)
The homeschooled child: ” Even if it looks like we don’t understand something be patient. It will click later” (yeah she said this).
These simple tips from my family members hopefully will offer some encouragement as you start your homeschool journey.
I’m not the only one one with tips to share. Here’s today’s list of fellow Schoolhouse Review Crew members sharing their tips for Homeschooling Parents.
