Brrrrr it’s cold outside and the whole country is expecting more of the same over the next week.

Last week I landed on some great websites that kind of inspired me to put a little bit more thought into my weekly menu planning.

Last week I landed upon A Turtle’s Life for Me’s post on cooking for the freezer. She lays out her plan for putting away 46 freezer meals in 4 hours. She only paid $95 for all this in 2011 but I’m pretty sure I will have to pay more than that.

But first I have to decide if the meals are my taste.

Natalie doesn’t give exact details and recipes about what she ended up cooking but she does provide enough to come up with your own freezer meals in a jiffy.

I haven’t fully decided when I’m going to take a stab at this but hopefully before the end of the year.

I also just updated my eMeals subscription to the eMeals Slow Cooker Meal Plan as many of those recipes make great freezer meals.  I have a free recipe from the Slow Cooker Plan posted here. AND you can get a free Slow Cooker eBook by Creative Homemaking here.

Here’s my menu for this week.

Monday: Salmon Leftovers

Tuesday:Greek-Style Chicken Thighs

Wednesday: Chicken Curry

Thursday: Beef Barley Soup

Friday: Ground Beef/Turkey Quesadillas
