Monday Menu Plan for August 10, 2015
Greetings: Happy Monday and Menu Planning Day! We’re in full gear for back to school here on the blog and in my own home. We’ve started adjusting our summer schedules so we can get back into the mode of getting up early and getting things done.
This past summer I’ve been working with my daughter teaching her some life skills such as doing laundry, making her own snacks, etc. She has expressed more interest in getting her own breakfasts and to help her out I picked up a copy of DIY Breakfast Station Packs.
There are two ebooks in the series. Station Packs 1 and 2. My daughter check them out and went for Pack 2 which includes recipes for pancake muffins, mini quiche, croissant, breakfast pizza, smoothie packs, and french toast sticks. The result of these recipes are to be put in the microwave but we don’t use a microwave so we’ll be heating up these breakfasts in the oven. I love the idea of these and hopefully will expound on the recipes but for now this is a nice jumping off point. You can pick up your own copy of DIY Breakfast Station Packs here .
Seasonal Ideas:
This season our garden has been producing well so I’ve been barely buying any produce from the grocery store. Yaaayy! I’ve even been able to bless some family members with produce.
Look for an update on our garden at the end of this week.
My Weekly Menu Plan:
Now on to the menu for the week. Nothing remarkable but here it is…
Monday: Gyros
Tuesday: Stir Fry
Wednesday: Hamburgers
Thursday: Orange Chicken
Friday: Ground Beef/Turkey Quesadillas
