Monday Menu Plan 12/9/13 – Turkey Parts

winter-monday-menu Brrrr…. It’s blistering cold in our neck of the woods.

Nothing but warm soup and breads sounds good to me this week but I’ll try to be a little more adventurous and serve a few meals outside the bowl.

Last week I discovered how to soften hardened brown sugar in various ways. To slow down when I’m cooking so as to not make silly mistakes such as putting a hot glass pan directly on a cold countertop (Can you say shopping for a new pyrex pan?). And what kinds of cookies my husband really likes. This week I ordered some pistachio nut flour to try my hand at a pistachio nut cake. I also have leftovers from a baked turkey dinner yesterday, and I’m out of fish in the freezer.

This week: I’ve ordered some pistachio flour to try my hand at a pistachio nut cake. Plan on cooking lots of turkey since my husband filled our freezer with turkey parts. And have a cooking date with my daughter.
