Greetings:

Happy Monday! I hope you’ve had a great weekend and are ready to face the new week!

Okay so I don’t have a farm but I am in love with my new bright red #TuffShed in the pic above. There are still a few things to add to make it unique but we love it. It holds all our outdoor stuff and my gardening stuff perfectly. All in good time.

Around the House

We’re cleaning things up and organizing our extra goodies for an extended family garage sale. It’s so nice to unload things. Phew!

I’m slowly going through each room in the house and pulling out things we’re not using. When we moved to our, still new to me, we brought all our furniture.  Seemed right at the time. But some of it was specifically purchased for our previous home due to the size constraints and the coloring I was looking for at the time.

It’s been 9 years and that old furniture doesn’t fit this home. We’ve either outgrown the need or it doesn’t fit in the space. Some of it is just plain shot. It’s time to let it go. Either to the dump or the garage sale.

How about you? Are you having a garage sale this summer?

In the School Room

I’ve reorganized our furniture once again in the Homeschool/Craft room. Wheee! I’ve been wanting to do it for a while. We had a desk in here that was mostly taking up space. It’s in excellent condition and will be going into the garage sale. I did it while battling exhaustion and now that I’m feeling 100% better it’s time to go through all the junk and declutter.

We’re also ending a school year pretty soon here. We are only doing 2 subjects right now. Math and English.

My daughter will be graduating from 5th grade to 6th. I’m not sure if we’re going to have a little party or not. We did one from Kindergarten to 1st. We probably should….

At the Dining Table

We’ve been eating dinner salads lately. So yumm! I have a recipe half written on the blog so send me good wishes to finish it up. You can see a picture of part of it below. I don’t measure anything so I have to kind of take care of that small issue before sharing it. Or if you like, “Dump this. Pour that. A smidgen of this.” Then I’m your girl and I can get it right up. I think you will like it.

I love Freezer Cooking but get out of the habit more than I like. If you need some motivation Once a Month Menu offers a Free Virtual Freezer Cooking session each month. The dates for this month are June 24-26. You can see more here.

If you do end up purchasing a membership I would appreciate if you would use my affiliate link Once a Month Meals.

  1. That salad looks pretty tasty. What’s that up on top? I can’t tell if it’s mango or butternut squash or something else altogether.
