The Coming Week Including Our Menu Plan for June 20, 2016
Greetings:
Happy Monday all! I hope you have a deliciously wonderful weekend and Father’s Day. Outside of cooking up something sweet for my hubby and sending well wishes to my father and the other fathers in my life I didn’t do anything out of the ordinary.
Around the House
It’s outdoor season and so there is plenty going on in the front and back yard. We’re doing a lot of simple landscaping ourselves which is good exercise and good fun. We’re trying not to buy anything and just use what we have. I had a dream about hostas. Is that weird? I love those plants. I only have two and they are new but I’m hoping to have big pretty ones next year.
We’ve been eating regularly from the garden. Mostly onions and Swiss Chard. Also some radishes and peas. So cool!
In the School Room
We are actually not done with school yet. Eeep! Kids all around us are out for the summer and we still have a couple of weeks to go. We like to finish the texts for our core classes of math, English, Science, and History so that sometimes puts us mid-summer. (I remember back in my day we never completely finished a textbook for our classes).
Meanwhile the school room is still getting a small makeover. There is clutter everywhere. I’m scared to start working on the closet. I just have visions of a room full of stuff and starting at the empty closet wondering where to put things. Gives me the heebie jeebies.
At the Dining Table
I “plan” to start using the Kids Cook Real Food lessons in a week or so for the Sweet Peanut and her friends. They are very excited to get started.
My Weekly Menu Plan:
Monday: Cabb and Saus with Swiss Chard
Tuesday: Crunchy Catfish Thai Salad
Wednesday: Homemade Pizza
Thursday:
Friday: Chicken Quesadillas

Sherry
Thank you Sherry! Yes laid back here too 🙂 I have a recipe for the catfish coming. I don’t use measurements so I’m trying to rectify that before sharing.
