Greetings:

Happy Monday! I hope you had a lovely weekend. We celebrated an important birthday this past weekend. My Sweet Peanut turned 11 and we took the whole week to celebrate (Spring Break). We started off with visiting relatives from out of town ending with an extended family celebration yesterday. I’m sick of cake now. We ate out more than I’ve eaten out since last year this time. And I could really use some fresh veggies and fruit from my own kitchen.

Around the House

Grocery Bags with Food

Speaking of fresh veggies and fruit this week officially marks the beginning of my gardening season. We’ll be relocating our raised beds and putting my onions in the ground this week (cross fingers).  And also I’ll be starting some indoor seeds. Hopefully we’ll have some sunny days so I can do some weeding and general yard cleanup too.

Indoors we’re painting our daughter’s room and doing a bit of DIY in the laundry room. Reveal won’t be for some time but it’s keeping us busy.

This also marks the usual time I Spring Clean so I’m trying to muster enough energy to do that. I’ve also got a great giveaway coming along those lines so if you don’t subscribe in some form please do so you can enter to win my great Spring Cleaning package ;).

In the School Room

It was nice having a Spring Break but now it’s back to school. We’re in WW2 in history (fascinating), doing a bit of geometry in Math, and studying the habitats of animals in science. We’re also writing about memorable moments in our past in English and reading about Benjamin Franklin.

This week also marks the beginning of 5 Days of Tips for Homeschooling Parents. You can read our first post on the topic here => Planning an Efficient Homeschool
