Greetings:

Happy Monday! It's a new week! Have I told you I like new weeks because they are a chance to refresh, renew, and revamp?

Well here's what I did in those areas…

Around the House

I spent some time cleaning out my daughter's bathroom. I had let things go entirely too long in there. Don't get me wrong. I clean it regularly but I don't declutter it that often.

Let me back track. We took a field trip to the local science museum and the result was her trying a few experiments in the bathroom that led me to having to clean it from top to bottom. I emptied all the drawers and cupboard.  and then gave it the weekly deep cleaning. All is new!

In the School Room

You're probably tired of hearing it but just in case you missed all the banners and emails from your favorite homeschoolers the Build Your Bundle sale ends today.

This is a juicy sale and if you are a homeschooler, considering homeschooling, or have a few bucks to spend on your homeschooling friends and family it bears taking a look at.

In other homeschooling news we took a visit to OMSI Museum of Science and Industry this past week. OMSIMy daughter loves science and there was just so much of it here. I don't know what captured her attention the most. At first I thought it was the small collection of Australian Stick Bugsausturalian-stick-bug but when we got home and I found her doing this….

in the bathroom I figured it was something else.

Well we have plans to head back to OMSI with more firm plans in hand so that will be fun. Yaaay! By the way we do have two museum visit products in the BYB sale so if you're building your own putting together your own bundle today you can get them at a major discount. Early Learning Homeschool Bundle.

At the Dining Table

My daughter wants to cook. We made the mistake of letting her watch Masterchef Kids edition a couple of years ago. She fixated on the 9 year old. This is more evidence why we made a good decision to really limit videos and have no tv in the house (how did we see this? Online).

Anyway last year Katie Kimball of Kitchen Stewardship created this really niceKnife Skills for Kids videos. It's really nice. We did several of the lessons but then school came on and we had to put them down. But this summer we plan to pick these lessons again and pretty soon Katie will be opening the cart again so if you missed this you can purchase it very soon.

In the mean time this week you can get FREE access again to her Knife Skills for Kids videos . This gives you a good idea of the classes but it also gives your child (and probably you too!) some great tips for efficient, correct cutting of produce etc. It's free too which is always nice 🙂

My Weekly Menu Plan:

Here's my menu for this week…
Monday: Baked Catfish (rolled in spiced cornmeal mix and baked) served with swiss chard and brown rice.

Tuesday: Baked chicken

Wednesday: Chicken Quesadillas

Thursday: Asian style noodle soup
