Greetings

Around the House

Happy Monday! Happy President's Day. We're spending this holiday with family just chillin' and relaxing together. That's always so nice.  If you need some President's Day resources for your kids check out our small post.

This week I'll be reading quite a bit. I have several reviews coming so it's time to put down the books I read just because and read these great new titles.

On the Bookshelf

  • Bessie's Pillow
  • Shepherd, Potter, Spy and the Star Namer
  • [easyazon_link identifier=”0825444500″ locale=”US” tag=”mommybabytool-20″]The Elusive Miss Ellison[/easyazon_link]

At the Dining Table

This past week I've been on the sourdough haul. Remember I reviewed this great sourdough course a few months ago. I've been using that sourdough ever since. This week we had Trim Healthy Mama sourdough pancakes. I make sourdough bread (a winner but not the THM recipe).

I highly recommend having sourdough starter in your home and fresh sourdough bread often. So nice to make it without yeast.

Feeling the need for some beneficial bacteria I made yogurt this week too. But we're not big yogurt eaters so I made yogurt cheese out of it and we're eating it on the bread with some fruit. My daughter loves this. Totally off plan but hit's the spot.

and making yogurt. Nobody's eating the yogurt so I turned it into yogurt cheese.

My Weekly Menu Plan:

Monday: Italian Meatballs over Spaghetti Squash (THM Cookbook)

Tuesday: Crockpot Beef Gravy

Wednesday: Nigerian Peanut Stew (recipe coming soon)

Thursday: Minestrone Soup and Turkey Sandwiches

Friday: Oven Nachos(I think)
