Peace Begins with Me Devotional Journal
Unyielding Glory
For my own sake, for my own sake, I do this. How can I let myself be defamed? I will not yield my glory to another.
~ Isaiah 48:11 NIV
Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus Devotional Journal
The Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus Journal is also dated journal (no weekday names). The focus of this devotional is Jesus and putting our trust in Him. This pretty devotional is soft covered with water color flowers that also grace the edge of each page. There is a light blue band to keep it closed and a cream colored ribbon to keep your place.
The first page of the journal is a water colored flour wreath with a space to personalize it with your name.
Each Devotional day has a title theme and a quote from a song or a hymn. A small study of the quote follows and then a scripture and a short prayer prompt.
The back of the journal reads: When life gets busy, it’s easy to be so focused on the urgent that we miss there glimpses of grace that God puts in our day. This 365-Day devotional journal offers encouraging meditations to help turn out eyes upon Jesus and trust Him with our lives.
Alpha and Omega
He lives and grants me daily breath. He lives, and I shall conquer death.
~I Know That My Redeemer Lives by Samuel Medley
The Earth is the Lord’s, and Everything In It Devotional Journal
The Earth is the Lord's and Everything In It is by far my favorite of the three devotionals. It is also 365 days and is dated without weekday names.
The cover of this particular journal is a stunning one of watercolor peacocks. There are similar water color images gracing each of the pages. It's sooo pretty.
The devotionals in this journal remind you how the Lord cares for not only you but how His love for the world is evident in His creation. Each titled journal page starts with a scripture and then a reflection of God's handiwork around us. A small prayer follows and then plenty of space for journaling notes.
The back of the journal reads: From the small whisper of a snowflake to the large circumference of a redwood tree, all of nature is the creative expression of God. When we embrace His creative nature by taking the time to stop, notice, and connect, our hearts are encouraged and souls refreshed.
The Abundant Summer
Go to the ant…consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest.
~Proverbs 6:6-8 NIV
All of these journals are sized 8 1/2 x 7 inches in size and about 3/4 inch thick.
Each of these journals would make a lovely, personal gift for someone special. I'm having a really hard time picking which one I want to use and which ones I want to give as gifts. They are all so lovely! I personally am waiting until the first of the year before I start using whichever I decide on.
