Forever Amish by Kate Lloyd a Litfuse Book Review
About the Book:
Sally Bingham needs some time away to sort through the changes in her life and to rethink her upcoming marriage. Despite her ailing father’s hesitations, she takes off for a bed and breakfast in Lancaster County for a weekend away. But her best-laid plans leave her in a near collision with a bishop’s buggy and in the home of a mysterious Amish woman named Lizzie. Lizzie introduces her to a different perspective on life, a charming farmhand named Armin— and opens a Pandora’s box that will forever change Sally’s life.
My Review: Book three in the Lancaster Trilogy takes off where the others left off. Now we get to read Armin’s story but through the eyes of Sally (for those of you who have read the previous two in the series).
The story sort of begins with a bang and we’re introduced to Sally without much fanfare. Her connection to Lancaster wasn’t too clear to me at first but gradually evolves throughout the book and gets even better.
I found this book to be better than the other two. Like Kate finally got her groove and I really enjoyed the story. I felt like Forever Amish also got better the more I read it.
Kate’s Amish characters, like a few other good authors, aren’t all one dimensional and I like that. There are varied personalities and they’re allowed to express them through her stories.
If you haven’t read books 1 and 2 I think you will still enjoy book 3. Amish fiction readers will enjoy this journey.
