It’s Fall and that means time for me to evaluate my wardrobe and see if I need to add anything new for the cooler season.

As a stay at home mom I can often get in the rut of wearing old, long past the throwaway date, clothing.

Thankfully I received a chance to choose a Fall outfit to review from prAna Sustainable Clothing a few weeks ago.

I’ve heard about prAna clothing for about a year and thought their clothing looked nice and comfortable.  A little sporty too in case I felt active.

prAna is a modern Eco company that uses sustainable, Fair Trade, recycled, and hemp items in the creation of their clothing. They also give back to communities all over the world.

Why Organic Cotton Matters

My prAna Outfit

I will definitely say that the prAna clothing looks comfortable so I chose their Deedra Sweater Tunic and Ryley Crop pants to test drive.

It’s always hard to shop online and this is where I rely HIGHLY on reviews. So I trust, that since you do too, you want to know about my experience.

I received both clothing items in a box from prAna. The sweater was in a plastic bag which, while not necessarily recyclable, would keep it from getting damaged. I live in the Pacific Northwest where we’re known for our rain. So things like this matter.

The pants came wrapped with a ribbon and in the same box.

I chose the Deedra Sweater Tunic in Dark Plum because it was a tunic. As an older mom, I love tunics because I not so concerned with my shape when wearing them. I can wear them with anything from leggings to skirts.

The Deedra Tunic is a combination of several fibers including Organic Cotton and Wool. It is shorter in the front and longer in the back. Another extra touch I love. And it’s soft to the touch. It was not itchy at all, even though it’s party wool. And it was just the right weight for Fall. It didn’t feel like a sweater that would not last through the season. In case you’re wondering I’m on the short side of 5 feet.

The Deedra Tunic comes with a little tag on the back.

The Ryley Crop pants I went back and forth on. They looked comfortable but I did wonder if they would look weird.

These pants are also a combination of few fibers including recycled polyester, have a banded waist, pockets on the side, and they are full around the hips. They taper as you get closer to the calves. Yes, there was the worry that I would resemble a famous rapper.

I gave it a shot and went with the reviews that said I wouldn’t be sorry and I’m glad I did. They are super comfortable! Just what you need to wear after Thanksgiving dinner! I got a size Large but actually probably could have gone with a Medium.
