I'm going to do something a little different for Menu Plan Monday. Starting this week I think it would make more sense in my world if I told you what I ended up cooking the previous week.

I'm still going to menu plan but it always ends up being changed (I like to cook). Sometimes by so much that I would like to have a look back on what we ate along with what we planned to eat.

So here's goes….

What we planned on eating

Monday: Turkey, Rice, Broccoli (I've been shaving the stems of broccoli since seeing the Master Chefs do this on my favorite show. It does make a difference so I'm willing to go through the hassle for a better meal).

Tuesday: Asian Ground Turkey Meatballs with Rice Noodles

Wednesday: Lamb Gyros with cucmbers

Thursday: Let's try this again… Soup and Sandwiches

Friday: Quesadillas

What we ended up eating.

Monday: Turkey, Rice, Zucchin

Tuesday: Turkey leftovers chopped fine with vegetables over noodles

Wednesday: Sloppy Joes (yumm I had a taste for these)

Thursday: Nachos

Friday: Steak and veggies over noodles

The Sloppy Joes we're actually the hit of the week. I had a taste for them and thought to put them over Ciabatta bread. I toasted the bread first which made it yummy and crunchy. The family pronounced it delicious!

This week's menu

*This week I'm using some recipes from the eMeals Menu Plan service. Giving it a test through on the Cleaning Eating Plan. You can find out more about eMeals here.

Monday: Meatloaf and Rice

Tuesday: My quick Cassoulet

Wednesday: Swai fish with Creamy Lemon-Horsradish Sauce : eMeals (but they use Talapia)

Thursday: Morrocan Braised Chicken Thighs : eMeals

Friday: Quesadillas
