While we don’t want to overschedule children knowing the patterns of their days can help greatly in minimizing meltdowns and making sure needs are met.

When my daughter was really little I kept such schedules for her. It let me know when to head to somewhere quiet if we were out and about so she could settle in and maybe nap or when it was time for her to eat if we had been running a lot of errands.
