This nice thick almanac for all things in the kitchen has plenty of recipes I'm dying to try but first up on my list was the Homemade Instant Oatmeal.
Instant oatmeal is actually my go to breakfast for much of the week and there are only a few brands that have the chunky goodness I love in oatmeal. I would rather prepare oatmeal from whole oats but since I also like nuts and fruit it in this is where I get lazy and open a pack.
I have found one or two brands that do have yummy pecans or bits of apple in them but it's never enough you know? This is breakfast. Make it hearty!
So it makes sense to make your own right? Right? Right!
This is ingenious and here's the recipe below.
