Greetings:

Happy Thanksgiving Week. I’m preparing to host this year’s Thanksgiving dinner at my home again. It’s a special time to look back and be Thankful for all that God has done for us in the past year. We do it potluck style and I make the categories and the other guests fill in the gaps so nothing is left out. After that we will go to church and come home and collapse!

Since I spend the first part of the week shopping and cleaning I don’t like to do much cooking for those days. I’ve already got the freezer stocked with a few meals ready to go. It can’t be too stocked because then I won’t be able to store my planned turkey stock and leftovers.

Seasonal Ideas:

Our American Thanksgiving Holiday is this week. As my daughter reminds us it’s the time to give thanks to God for all He has done over the past year.

The planning is done and now it’s time for prep. I’m doing my grocery shopping today to avoid some of the traffic that happens Tuesday and Wednesday. Phew!

Would you like to see our menu? It’s nothing fancy

My Weekly Menu Plan:

Next up this week’s menu plan. It’s TURKEY, TURKEY, TURKEY this week to get us in the mood! Usually after Thanksgiving I’m serving turkey for months to come!

Monday: Thanksgiving Succotash

Tuesday: Chicken Stir Fry

Wednesday: Since we stay up late brining turkey and getting the refrigerator cleaned out it’s low key this night. I’ve got some turkey burgers in the freezer.

Thursday: HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Friday: Thanksgiving Repeat! (I don’t do anything special to my leftovers this night but reheat them!)
